We're Ally Howell-Smith and Michael Smith, founders and partners in business and in life. Mountain Sparrow Home Services is more than a home services company—it's a partnership built from the ground up on trust, respect, and a shared vision for meaningful work.
Ally brings over 23 years of real estate experience and 8 years as a licensed general contractor. Michael is a second-generation builder and accomplished carpenter with deep roots in craftsmanship and a background as a whitewater rafting guide, bringing safety, communication, and problem-solving skills to every project.
Together, we saw the opportunity to create a company that serves a real need: professional, dependable, high-integrity home services for people who want the job done right.

We are a husband/wife team who both come from adjacent industries—Ally as a licensed North Carolina Realtor®, General Contractor, and seasoned operations executive, and Michael with years of hands-on experience in property maintenance, construction support, and residential repairs. Together, we saw the opportunity to create a company that blends our skills and serves a real need in our community: professional, dependable, high-integrity home services for people who want the job done right the first time.
